2012年8月29日下午，香港中文大学地理与资源管理系及太空与地球信息科学研究所黄波教授在蒙民伟楼9楼做了题为“Spatio-temporal intelligence for Sustainable Urban Environment”的专题报告。报告期间，黄波教授结合自己的工作，深入浅出地介绍了遥感数据的时空谱角融合、change analysis与spatial optimization等方面的工作。
黄波教授研究经历丰富，在香港中文大学任教授之前，曾就职于加拿大卡尔加里大学、新加坡国立大学等著名科研机构。黄教授的研究领域包括：Spatio-temporal statistics for land cover/land use change modeling, image fusion for environmental monitoring, spatial optimization for sustainable urban and land use planning, Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS)与web/wireless GIS for location-based service等领域。
