Dr.Yiqi Luo is a professor of Ecology, University of Oklahoma. He got his PHD degree from University of California, Davis in 1991 and bachelor degree from Yangzhou University(formerly Jiangsu Agriculture College), China in 1982
Dr.Yiqi Luo was trained as an ecologist with an emphasis on systems analysis and modeling. His current research focuses on the data-model integration to improve our ability for predicting ecosystem responses to global change. Dr.Luo’s research is aimed to understand interactions and dynamics of carbon, nutrient, and water resources in ecosystems. His work conerns a variety of ecosystems types, including forests, grasslands, and coastal wetlands. He is particularly interested in how ecophysiological processes are manifested at the ecosystems levels and used to address issues in global change including terrestrial carbon sequestration and atmosphere-biosphere coupling. Now he is editor-in chief of Advance in Ecological Research; associate editors of Ecological Applications, Journal of Plan Ecology, Journal of Integrative Plant Biology, advisory boards to editors: New phystologist, Global Change Biology.
